The austerity measures are imposed by the Troika, (IMF, European Central bank, EU). The people of Portugal (like many others) are paying for the mistakes (or careful calculations) of the central banking system.
Martim Moniz, Lisbon. An old lady I see often wandering around this area. She always has a drink with her but is always smiling. Many people here need real medical help. The health care service is becoming privatised so many people self medicate.
I decided to pick my camera up again and start walking the streets, I walked about for 20 mins, I only took 4 pictures. This was the first one. I struggle each and every day with my understanding of life and purpose, when I walk with my camera I no longer have this struggle, I start to see life.
