NEX-5 Leitz 50 mm Elmar collapsible mount - very old. DOF is very small even at f11. Focussed at minimum distance by changing position. ISO 1600. I like the softness of this lens.
NEX-5 w/Elmarit 28mm. Cropped. Manual Exposure and focus. The 28mm Elmarit focusses at infinity at the end of focus travel, whereas the 35 mm Summicron is at infinity when the scale reads 10M. Luckily focus is done in live view and is accurate.
NEX-5 w/Leica 35mm Summi. Reduced for this site by 50% otherwise no adjustments to the image. The 35mm SUmmi gives a film like look. Sharpening destroys the characteristic of this lens IMHO. Modern Leica lenses such as my 28mm Elmarit tend to be more contrasty.
NEX-5 w/Sum 35mm. Good shadow detail everywhere. Colors true. CBL light balancing tool in fluorescent lighting. Shot through a plastic window. Remember this is a 52 mm equivalent lens on the APS-C sensor, but looks wider due to 16x9 format.
NEX-5 w/Leitz Sum 35mm ISO 1600. I like the way the Summi captures the large dynamic range. There is no black here - detail in all the shadows. Manual exposure and focus.
NEX-5 SUm 35mm. This is equivalent to 52 mm on a 35mm camera, but with the 16 x 9 format it looks like wide angle coverage. Manual focussing, manual exposure.
From NEX-5 with Leica Sum 35mm as is no adjustments. 1/3 sec grab shot from tripod. Color balance using CBL light balancing tool - lighting new fangled fluorescents in the boat - no flash used. Colors are accurate. Very pleased with this combo.
