The 14-24 mm f2.8 G is a stellar lens. However, when shooting on a IR modified camera the results are less so. Since it is not designed "as are most lenses" to properly focus into the IR range it struggles with sharp focus and has more distortion notably beyond the center of the image resulting in an overall lack of definition at any given aperture. The same image shot with a standard "color" body would require less work in post to get an optimal look. Nonetheless, the resulting IR images can be quite satisfying despite these issues.
