Part of the Expression in this image is due to the fact that all houses in this part of town (Gamlebyen = Old Fredrikstad) is under historic preservation and are not allowed to have modern float-glass in their windows. Only oldfashioned rolled glass is allowed, which - with all its small imperfections - reflect sunlight in a special and more effective manner.
