Thank you for your kind words and nice comment! Yes, on the West side of the valley there are these sand dunes. The blowing sand has accumulated, at the base of the mountains, because it lacked sufficient energy to overcome them.
A grand scene with layers of mountains giving great depht to this image! The little strip of white sand (desert?) gives extra dynamics.
