The elections were held yesterday in the Philippines.
The purple ink around the finger nail is an insoluble ink dropped on the finger at the time the voter is given their ballot. This is to cut down on fraud.<br />

As for the Photo: it is not natural. I see some of the nice photos on our website of people holding cigarettes and as I went to shoot the guys hand he was holding the cigarette in his other hand and I asked him to switch. He did and it was a mistake on my part as his holding the cigarette does not look natural. My mistake. I realize that though I know the mechanics of taking a picture I have a long, long way to go in capturing great photos. Keep shooting!!!
