There is something very direct about b&w. It gets straight to the heart of the matter, without the distractions of color.
Did you read my commentary to Sol about Simon & Garfunkel? They were neighbors of mine in Queens where I grew up. Good, nice local boys. The Queensborough Bridge is one short block from my home so it is very dear to me. Their song, Feeling Groovy, (aka the 59th Street) song is about this bridge.
