Funny how everyone comments about this blue door. What you cannot see is to the right of the house is a matching large blue gate that hides a secret garden. Think of a 3-sided U-shape opening onto the river. Each townhouse is between $20 to $50 million. And yet they have to share a huge garden sloping down to the river. As you can well imagine this is one of the most expensive areas in Manhattan. Just to mention one name, Aristotle Onassis bought one of the homes as a wedding present for his daughter Christina. Unfortunately, she died at a young age, right before her wedding.

Note: formerly owned by a Vanderbilt, the present owner is a Heinz (as in ketchup).
