Dear friends, you have to think that such a complex arrived intact until the Middle Ages.
In Rome, they all agree that nothing could tell the barbarian invasions, the destruction of the city, how could the terrible earthquake of 1349, whose strong tremors that lasted, so the story goes, for 40 days, then we thought the Barberini who transformed the buildings damaged or destroyed in the marble quarries at low cost for their palaces.
The Colosseum was badly damaged by this earthquake.
The missing part of the Colosseum is collapsed and .. the marbles used, too, by the Barberini.
