That's fascinating, these carvings and similar paintings ans stained glass windows told the illiterate congregation the story of the bible and the doom that awaited those who did not follow the path! Doesn't that sound familiar!
I think I spent a couple of hours following through on this carving. I found dozens of similar carvings and the story behind the figures was intriguing. Thanks for posting another stimulating picture.
