Mein Vater wurde in Wien im Jahre 1911 geboren, daher mein Verständnis für die Sprache ist fast fließend, so wenden Sie sich bitte auf Deutsch zu kommentieren.
Also, there is "Google Translate" where you can type in German and it automatically translates to English. It does this for several languages. Very useful.
