Notes

The original slide was so dark, I thought it was beyond help. But with the wonders of modern software - in this case Nikon NX2 with U-point technology (hurry you can still buy it from B&H, otherwise the technology was bought by Google, and Nikon lost the best editor it ever had. Works with any TIFF, JPG image, as well as Nikon RAW.)<br />

You are right, I had some photos taken in Scotland in the early 1970's that I processed myself and gave the slides a fetching green colour!! Anyway I scanned the most important ones a few years ago and just hit 'Auto Color' in Photoshop - WOW!

There are a lot of colors and details here. This method seems to work well.
Going to try a few slides on the light box .
