This image was made with a 4x5 Tachihara, a Calumet 210mm Caltar II s lens. It was made on a rig road north of Grand Junction, CO, in the bookcliff mtn's . Temp was in the 20's F. About a mile back to the left I passed a oil/gas rig on fire. The flames were like a vertical blow torch about 50-60 feet high. The lower half of the derrick had collapsed due the intense heat and no one in sight, and it was very, very loud. But this scene was so serene I had to stop and try to get an image. In the original, the fog was much heavier. PS
I like the tonal range of this image. Well exposed, as well.
