Yes indeed, the Softar give you a nice soft, but in the same time a sharp very pleasing image (in special about ladies....)
I do have the #2 and used even in this digital era.
Is possible but hard to get the same effect with PS or LR.
Sweet indeed. I like this dark background, because it highlights the subject. I have a softar I for my Rollei SL35, and I think I will follow your advice. Nice photo.
