The Sony RX 100 is a tiny little point and shoot with a Zeiss 28-100 (equiv) zoom on a 20 meg 1" sensor. All adds up to a 1/2 lb powerhouse - albeit no viewfinder - but a great LCD. It will not replace the FF DSLR IMO - however it makes a great carry-around when you don't want to pack the serious stuff. My prelim. tests show results "Disturbingly" close to that of the FF DSLR. It has several "Art" programs, built in, that create some very nice effects.
In the end, I do not mind my photography in some cases looking like paintings, but would rather not implement too many "art effects" to get there. Thus, this picture was already "painterly " enough straight up - no need for an effect.
That's me, I like different and I love this...those droopy petals are wonderful! ~ sure like to see this one with some of the processing you've been doing
