Steve,
Thanks for the help, but "been there, done that!" If I do then all I get are belly buttons. Seriously, these windows attract huge crowds every year.
The designers elevate the stages & mannequines so that everyone can see them, even if they are 10 deep in the crowd. Fifth Avenue is wall to wall with Europeans and Japanese taking baby steps as the sidewalks are filled like sardine cans.
Only a few will stop if they see me photographing, 95% just walk in front. Oh, the perils that photographers endure for the sake of their art! :)

Yep, difficult to shoot these. Reflections and distortions due to the glass create special problems for the Photographer. Out of interest, what happens if you press the front of the lens onto the glass (you obviously will need a shorter Focal Length), does it minimise the issues? Might try it my self. Steve

I imagine it would be a challenge with all that reflective material in the display. I was fascinated with the window displays in NY and I bet this one is a real gem to see in person. I bet there are a lot of good ones at Christmas time. I'd love to have a guided tour from someone that knows her way around and I will certainly take you up on that offer if I get back up there in the future.
