Thanks Steve, think my monitor is ok its a Dell 27" ultra which is calibrated for RBG by Dell unlike some. I use IE as my browser and when viewing in LR it does show a little more detail in the shadows - I did boot the shadow area more but didn't like the look as much.

Two possible reasons:
(1) Incorrect calibration on the Monitor (uncalibrated Monitors are nearly always set too bright and too saturated)
(2) The Browser that you are using to view the image (Firefox and Safari give the best rendition of an image and are Colour Space Aware)
Also guys it looks a little darker than it actually is on the ZeissImages site.
