Stromboli is an island in the Tyrrhenian Sea, There is an overnight ferry from Naples that takes one to the island. And, of course there is an active vulcano ( 4,000 ft) smack in the middle.

Ontario Province has amazing places to canoe.

Elephant canyon is amazing area full of incredibly shaped rock formations.

I spent a week backpacking in Buckskin Gulch, which is supposedly a longest slot canyon in the US. The place was sometimes so tight, that I had to take my backpack off and pass it to my daughter, who was in front of me.

New York City was full of photo opportunities. Thus I always carried camera with me, even and especially when I worked as a cabbie.

Florida was a choice for spring vacation when I lived on the East Coast.
