A group of birdwatchers catching the break in weather as storm surf continues to pound the shore. Twnety mile north of Satna Cruz, California. Taken with a Sony A7rii, hand-held, Sony G 70-200 f4.0 lens.
Even though this shot breaks all the rules (but, then again, rules should be broken at times) the starkness and position on the hill in relation to the gully and curvature of the hill were perfect. I added more light drama by darkeing the periphery of the gully area. Shot with the Sony FE 70-200 G telephoto, my only non-Zeiss lens.
